Infants are reassured by the presence of their mother’s scent, per analysis that regarded at how their brains respond to terror.

The postulate that a neatly-recognized scent can soothe infants is rarely any longer a recent one. “Some midwives suppose contemporary mums to establish a used t-shirt or scarf in the crib with their toddler,” says Sarah Jessen at the College of Lübeck in Germany.
