Johnny Depp’s lawyer says Amber Heard ‘perpetrated serial violence’ against ex-husband – USA TODAY

Johnny Depp is standing by his accusations of abuse against ex-spouse Amber Heard after audio recordings surfaced of the then-couple arguing about physical altercations. 

The audio, shared by the Day-to-day Mail and confirmed to USA TODAY by Depp’s attorney Adam Waldman as a loyal recording from 2015, involves Heard and Depp discussing an incident that received physical.

The two debate the extent to which Heard injured Depp. At one level, Heard tells Depp she used to be hitting him: “Babe, you are no longer punched … I compose no longer know what the motion of my right hand used to be, however you are elegant. I didn’t damage you, I didn’t punch you, I was hitting you.”

At one other level, Depp can even be heard asserting, “I compose no longer own to dart away you. I compose no longer prefer a divorce, I compose no longer prefer you out of my lifestyles. I glorious prefer peace. If issues rep physical, we own to separate.” 

Heard answered she couldn’t promise that she would “be ideally suited, I cannot promise you I could possibly possibly just no longer rep physical again.”

USA TODAY has reached out to Heard’s consultant for observation. 

In an announcement to USA TODAY, Waldman critical that Heard “recorded her conversations” with Depp.  

“The first confessional tape she made finds a conversation any loyal abuse victim will leer all too neatly,” Waldman added. “It exposes that Ms. Heard perpetrated serial violence against Mr. Depp, and then concocted an elaborate abuse hoax to conceal it up. Ms. Heard affords a motive for her violence: Mr. Depp used to be repeatedly seeking to ‘split’ to flee her abuse.”

Since reaching a divorce settlement in August 2016, Depp and Heard own battled against each and each various in civil court with allegations of home abuse and defamation.

In March 2019, Depp filed a civil lawsuit against Heard seeking $50 million and accusing her of defaming him by environment herself up as a “home abuse” victim in an understanding column she published in The Washington Post the previous December.
