“Harry Potter” actor Daniel Radcliffe has sharply criticized controversial feedback from author J.Ok. Rowling. In a piece printed Monday for LGBTQ early life nonprofit The Trevor Project, Radcliffe stated he felt “compelled to declare something at this moment.”
“Transgender females are females,” Radcliffe wrote. “Any statement quite the opposite erases the id and dignity of transgender of us and goes in opposition to all recommendation given by educated health care associations who possess far more abilities on this topic topic than both Jo or I.”
Rowling faced backlash over the weekend for making “anti-trans feedback” on Twitter. She took declare with the phrase “of us who menstruate” in an editorial written for Devex.

Citing statistics compiled by The Trevor Project, Radcliffe significant that “78% of transgender and nonbinary early life reported being the topic of discrimination ensuing from their gender id.” He also linked to sources for those in becoming better allies of transgender and non-binary early life.
