Since the Gum Nebula is the closest supernova remnant, it’s a long way truly arduous to peep. Spanning 40 degrees across the sky, the nebula appears so huge and faint that it’s a long way without issues lost within the din of a vivid and advanced background. The Gum Nebula is highlighted nicely in red emission toward the magnificent of the featured huge-angle, single-image portray taken in silly Also can. Also visible within the frame are the Atacama Barren blueprint in Chile within the foreground, the Carina Nebula within the airplane of our Milky Intention galaxy working diagonally down from the upper left, and the neighboring Mountainous Magellanic Cloud (LMC) galaxy. The Gum Nebula is so close that we are grand nearer the front edge than the back edge, each measuring 450 and 1500 light years respectively. The comely nebula lies within the direction of the constellations of Puppis and Vela. Oddly, grand stays unknown about the Gum Nebula, including the timing and even choice of supernova explosions that shaped it.
