A Falcon 9 Nebula

No longer the Hubble Residence telescope’s most standard gaze of a distant galactic nebula, this illuminated cloud of gasoline and dust dazzled early morning spacecoast skygazers on August 29. The snapshot used to be taken at 3: 17am from Residence Leer Park in Titusville, Florida. That is about 3 minutes after the launch of a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket on the CRS-23 mission to resupply the Worldwide Residence Space. It captures drifting plumes and employ from the separated first and second stage of the rocket rising thru level-headed murky skies. The lower gleaming dot is the second stage continuing on to low Earth orbit. The upper one is the rocket’s first stage performing a boostback burn. Clearly the first stage booster returned to assemble the first landing on the most standard self reliant drone ship to near within the Atlantic, A Short Drop of Gravitas.
