Why does superstar cluster Trumpler 14 dangle so many lustrous stars? On yarn of it is miles so young. Many cluster stars dangle fashioned ideal in the previous 5 million years and are so sizzling they emit detectable X-rays. In older superstar clusters, most stars this young dangle already died — in most cases exploding in a supernova — leaving late stars that are fainter and redder. Trumpler 14 spans about 40 light years and lies about 9,000 light years away on the fringe of the popular Carina Nebula. A discerning admire can build two irregular objects in this detailed 2006 picture of Trumpler 14 by the Hubble Arena telescope. First, a glum cloud appropriate left of middle could well perhaps even be a planetary diagram attempting to affect before being destroyed by the vigorous winds of Trumpler 14’s huge stars. 2d is the arc at the bottom left, which one hypothesis holds is the supersonic shock wave of a fast superstar ejected 100,000 years previously from a truly diversified superstar cluster.
