Bonnie Pointer of The Pointer Sisters died after going into cardiac arrest … TMZ has learned.
The Grammy-a hit Motown artist’s trigger of loss of life is listed as cardiopulmonary arrest … this based totally on her loss of life certificate bought by TMZ. Bonnie — proper title Patricia Eva Pointer — died on June 8 at 3: 37 AM. The doc lists her as divorced, and an entertainer in the tune industry for 50 years.
Based on the doc … there have been other underlying issues she’d been combating for approximately a decade, including liver disease.
TMZ broke the legend … Bonnie, one of many OGs of the wildly in vogue community of sisters in the ’70s, died earlier this month. Her sister, Anita, instructed us, “It’s with distinguished sadness that I in actuality favor to roar to the fans of The Pointer Sisters that my sister, Bonnie died this morning. Our family is devastated, on behalf of my siblings and I and the total Pointer family, we quiz in your prayers at present.”
Bonnie’s simplest known for her duvet of “Heaven Must Possess Sent You,” which peaked at No. 11 on the Billboard’s Sizzling 100 chart. She earned a Grammy for Simplest Vocal by a Duo or Crew in the nation class for his or her hit, “Fairytale.”
