There’s a miniature bit of a horse lady inner of all of us, good waiting to be location free.
The trailer for Netflix’s Horse Lady starts off centered on the socially awkward Sarah (Allison Brie) and appears to be like treasure it’s going to be a belated coming-of-age story, as vexed Sarah realizes that yes, she does must like a good time, let free, and fall in treasure!
Excluding, successfully, Sarah’s nose starts bleeding when she’s about to love an intimate 2nd with Prospective Esteem Ardour, and the trailer goes quite off the rails there. It’s no longer precisely clear what’s occurring — something about aliens, Sarah’s grandmother’s psychological sickness, and repeated photographs of a horse. Even though the trailer keeps returning to the horse, it doesn’t seem treasure there’s sufficient horse. Is this all in Sarah’s head? Are there aliens? Is it lucid dreaming? Or is she truly a were-horse or centaur that’s coming of age and manifesting her equine powers? (Fingers crossed for that final one.)
Horse Lady comes from Life After Beth’s Jeff Baena, with a script from Baena and Brie. It would premiere at the Sundance Film Festival on Jan. 27, earlier than heading to Netflix on Feb. 7.
