(CNN)Siya Kakkar, a teenage TikTok influencer with a critical fanbase on the video-sharing platform, has died, her supervisor has said.
Arjun Sarin posted a image of the Indian superstar on Thursday with the caption “Relaxation in Peace.”
“No more phrases,” he added. “You will consistently be potentially the most straight forward artist.”
Police confirmed to CNN that Kakkar used to be a minor, and native media retail outlets are reporting that she used to be 16.
She had nearly 2 million followers on TikTok as of Friday, and posted a video to the platform on Wednesday. Several of her uploads have had millions of views.
Most of Kakkar’s videos featured lip-syncing, recreations of well-liked memes and brief comedy skits.
Indian actor Jay Bhanushali and infamous photographer Viral Bhayani had been among those to produce their condolences on social media, while several fans commented on Kakkar’s videos to explicit their disappointment.
TikTok has soared in recognition in India, despite being blocked for two weeks by the Indian authorities earlier this year.
The app permits users so that you can add brief videos to followers and the wider community, with many fleet selecting up spacious followings.
It has gathered bigger than 120 million users in India because it launched in 2016.
