The UFC on ESPN 14 headliner between ex-champ Robert Whittaker and Darren Till used to be extraordinarily shut, though judges had been unanimous of their closing rankings.
All three judges awarded Whittaker 48-47 rankings, representing a 3-2 margin in the 5-spherical non-title fight that headlined Saturday’s fight card at Yas Island in Abu Dhabi. Whereas the rankings had been the same, the judges disagreed on the final two rounds of the fight.
Judges Ben Cartlidge, Anders Ohlsson and Clemens Werner all gave Till the first spherical, 10-9, and Whittaker the 2d and third spherical by the same rating. However as for the championship frames, Cartlidge and Werner gave Till the fourth spherical, 10-9, whereas Ohlsson gave it to Whittaker. Cartlidge and Werner had been also in the majority for the fifth spherical, giving Whittaker the 10-9 whereas Ohlsson dissented for Till.
