The El Al flight attendant who contracted measles on a flight from Unusual York has died after spending four months in a coma, Israeli officials and local reviews acknowledged Wednesday.

Rotem Amitai, 43, died Tuesday at the Rabin Clinical Middle-Beilinson Campus in the city of Petah Tikva shut to Tel Aviv, a sanatorium spokeswoman advised Agence France-Presse.

“Rotem was an attractive lady and a faithful mother,” her family acknowledged in an announcement to Israeli news situation Ynetnews. “We are grieving her premature departure.”

Amitai, a mother of three, contracted measles on a March 26 flight from John F. Kennedy Airport to Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion Airport.

She was hospitalized about a days later when she began creating signs related to the virus, in conjunction with a high fever and rash.

Her condition deteriorated later that month, and she fell right into a coma after struggling mind harm.

The Israeli health ministry acknowledged her case was subtle by encephalitis, or swelling of the mind.
