AIs that deblur faces could make people on CCTV easier to identify

Artificial intelligence is turning the “Give a enhance to!” trope on TV crime dramas – the effect a blurry image of a suspect turns into a clear photograph – into actuality.

Vishal Patel at John Hopkins University within the US and his colleagues bask in developed an AI that will presumably mechanically deblur images of of us’s faces.

The technology might presumably eventually be used to enhance facial recognition on long-distance surveillance images, corresponding to those taken from a drone, says Patel.
