Hummingbirds can drop their body temperature below 4°C when they rest

Hummingbirds can enter a hibernation-like command at night time, shedding their physique temperature to below 4°C so as to withhold energy for use all the strategy thru the day.

The birds are indubitably one of some species, alongside with night time hawks and some small rodents, that are able to torpor, thru which physique characteristic reduces to a naked minimum for a pair of hours, says Blair Wolf at the University of Original Mexico.
