NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Two Southwest Airlines planes private collided on the tarmac of Nashville Worldwide Airport.
Airline officials say no injuries private been reported in Saturday evening’s collision. An emailed assertion from Southwest Airlines spokeswoman Michelle Agnew says the winglet of the St. Louis-sure Southwest Flight 1555 “came into contact” for the duration of pushback with the winglet of Southwest Flight 4580, headed for Atlanta.
A photograph equipped by a passenger onboard the flight to Atlanta showed wet climate and what looked to be the head of the quite loads of plane’s fin clipped off.
The airline says each and each planes returned to the gate “below their private strength” and private been taken out of carrier for overview. The Southwest flights will continue to the scheduled destinations the utilization of original planes.
A spokeswoman for the airport directed inquiries to Southwest.
